WASHINGTON DC – Verizon Business today named Maggie Hallbach as senior vice president of Verizon Public Sector. She will lead the team that serves the company’s Federal, State, Local, Education and Public Safety Verizon Frontline customers.
During her 25 years at Verizon, Hallbach has held a variety of management and executive positions, most recently serving as Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Sales for Verizon Public Sector, where she focused on development, designing and seizing strategic opportunities. Hallbach also led the team responsible for strategic sales initiatives, including aligning sales priorities with Verizon’s overall public sector strategy.
“Maggie’s experience, deep relationships and public sector expertise allow her to strategically partner with our clients to help them achieve their missions through innovation and digitalization,” said Sampath Sowmyanarayan, chief revenue officer, Verizon Business. “Maggie is exactly the right person to lead and grow our Verizon Public Sector business and continue the incredible momentum we’ve had with our Federal, State, Local, Educational and Verizon Frontline customers.”
During her tenure at Verizon, Hallbach focused on improving the customer experience and building high performing teams. This has included leading Verizon’s Lean Six Sigma efforts to drive ongoing business transformation and process improvement in Verizon Business. She also served as vice president of state, local and education markets for Verizon, where she led teams developing solutions to meet the increasingly complex demands of state and local government, public safety and education customers.
Maggie received an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brown University. She is committed to including youth and adults with special needs, devoting time to TOP Soccer, Best Buddies International and supporting the Arc of Northern Virginia. With this appointment, Maggie will also join the boards of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and the United Service Organizations (USO).
