New Alabama license plate designs coming in 2022


The Alabama will have a new standard license plate in 2022.

The new design chosen by the state has the image of a beach with at the bottom. The new plaque also includes the phrase “Heart of Dixie” inside a heart in the lower right corner. The plaque will replace the current design of the mountain scene.

State law requires the reissue of a new license model every five years.

The Alabama Department of Revenue will begin shipping the new license plate in December for issuance starting in January 2022. Plates can be personalized for an additional $ 50.

The color of the license plate expiration stickers will also change in 2022. Alabama currently rotates the stickers using three colors: red, green, and yellow. From 2022 and in the future, only yellow will be used.

Other new labels unveiled earlier this year include the Alabama Gold Star Families label available in January for immediate family members of a person who died while on active duty in any branch of the country. American army; Label of the Foundation of Schools of the Town of Albertville; and the new Curing Childhood Cancer label.

Other new tags and designs unveiled this year were the Help End Epilepsy tag, Professional Firefighter tag, National Wild Turkey Federation tag, and Support the Arts tag.
