Beaming Paraag Marathe has guaranteed giddy Leeds United fans they are primed after sealing Premier League promotion – as Rangers were clued in on what's coming their way.

A consortium comprising Sanfrancisco 49ers' enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh stand on the brink of seizing control at Rangers two years after the NFL behemoths took the reins at Elland Road.

Cavenagh has been flanked by former Leeds United transfer guru Gretar Steinsson – who now holds a similar role within the 49ers Group – on his visits to Scotland in recent months.

Leeds United's return to the Premier League rules out majority stakes in more than two British clubs – a rule set by the English football league.

And now chairman Marathe – lauded in NFL circles for his ability to creatively work the salary cap to the 49ers' benefits – insists Leeds will not be operating under restrictions upon their return to the richest league in the world.

And Marathe's list of pledges will prick the ears of those of a Rangers persuasion with Cavenagh and Steinsson set to outline their vision at Ibrox.
